As a global leader in ecommerce package delivery, OSM Worldwide was a high profile exhibitor at the Internet Retailers Conference and Exhibition held last week in Chicago. For the second year, Zar Marketing, partnering with DesignDesign Communications, worked with OSM to develop a marketing theme and a companion 10’ x 30’ exhibit plus an attraction to drive traffic to their booth at IRCE.

After weeks of kicking around different ideas to support the client’s messaging, we zeroed in on a fun and timely baseball theme to build on the passion for springtime baseball and the fact that Chicago is the home of two major teams.

Sakurai is the global leader in screen press technology, whose customers include commercial, packaging, trade and screen printers.  ZAR Marketing has worked with Sakurai’s US headquarters in Schaumburg IL since 2005 providing advertising, marketing, public relations, tradeshow logistics and management expertise.

OSM Worldwide is a leading provider of domestic and international package shipping services based in Glendale Heights, Illinois.  The company contacted Zar Marketing in January looking for a marketing partner to deliver a lead generating experience at their 10” x 20’ exhibit at the IRCE ’17 tradeshow held during June at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Sakurai a leading manufacturer of screen and offset presses marked its 25th anniversary as a US Corporation with a Technology Showcase Open House attended by over 100 customers and guests at their Schaumburg, Illinois headquarters.  We developed the theme an 25th logo, a welcome poster, postcards, pre and post eventE.Blasts, and features the event on new advertising for industry publications.  We distributed pre and post event news releases and posted them with photos on Sakurai's website.  All marketing materials jointly promoted Sakurai's exhibit at its largest industry tradeshow, SGIA, the following month.  We worked with the Sakurai team on...

Sakurai needed a handout at Graph Expo 12 which featured and showed off the color capabilities of their offset and screen presses running live at the show. They also needed some a creative theme to carry through booth elements and pre- and post-show marketing materials. Zar Marketing created a series of posters which was directed at printed with inside graphic arts lingo, like "color scales"; color profile"; "proof'. The Goldfish poster featured a metallic touch plate, printed by a Sakurai screen press. These posters are still, undoubtably, still hanging on the wall at many print shop's press rooms, break rooms and offices.

Zar Marketing worked with long-time client IGS, an independent press service, parts, and supplies provider to promote their 10th anniversary.  We worked with their exhibit builder to create a theme exhibit for Graph Expo in Chicago, developed a series of quirky ads for industry trade publications and planned/managed an Oktoberfest themed dinner cruise with German food and live music. To promote the exhibit and event, we developed a postcard and a large Oktoberfest invitation poster that was mailed to customers, prospects and friends in a red tube. Zar Marketing was part of the meeting management team that planned and managed logistics and all elements of back-to-back Annual Achiever’s and President Club incentive travel trips for Grainger’s top achievers and their spouses to the Mayan Riviera in Cancun.  To promote the event to the sales team, Zar developed the theme, “Mayan Riviera Xperience” used on a series of four postcards using Cancun imagery entitled: Xtraordinary, Xcellent, Xceptional and Xcitement to build enthusiasm and encourage extra effort to qualify.
